A garden to get lost in

It’s back to summertime in Paris that my mind wanders, it feels as though, the cold in Mid-West is just too much to handle at times… I want to get lost in this Parisian garden, where every worry seemed to melt away… Although I may not physically be there, I honestly believe Hemingway when he said, “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” Thank goodness for that, for in this blizzard, I’ve still got Paris with me.

Hidden treasure

He has made everything beautiful in its time… Ecclesiastes 3:11
I think the most beautiful things in life are often the things that get left unnoticed… whether it be a sunset cloud, an antique window fixture, lightly frosted plants, a couples love lock sealing a promise, or flowers overflowing from their garden fence… It’s true that throughout the busy days we don’t have time for those things or those people that have been forgotten, but when we do get to notice the unnoticed, I promise you, it is so beautiful…

The greatest is love

Three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love… and the greatest is love… 1 Corinthians 13:13
There are so many things I miss about being home: knowing that the ocean is nearby, walks along the shore, comfy leather couches, chinchilla blankets, a fridge full of yummy food, and of course, our bashful Comet… who we recently found out has bone cancer, nevertheless, he still is his playful self and has nothing holding him back, from giving… I want to live that way… despite setbacks, I want to see everyday as fun, pure joy… like he sees it, with nothing but just love and more love to give…

A few confessions

I keep, as I call them, twinkle lights, or as some may call them, Christmas lights, in my room all year long… they make everyday feel a little more festive… When the day is over, before I crawl into bed, I must indulge in something sweet to eat…
I think coffee is more pleasant and perhaps, tastes better in a big chunky mug rather than in a to go cup… Coconut vanilla is the scent I always come back to, it reminds me of the beautiful sunny days I spent in Hawaii with friends…
